Welcome to San Francisco

Dear Fellow Ugandans and friends of Ugandans,
On behalf of UNAA San Francisco organizing committee, I want to thank you for visiting our website for information about the upcoming 19 th UNAA convention in San Francisco , California . A talented group of volunteers has worked very hard to make this site user friendly and informative. I hope your visit will translate in registering for the convention.
As our theme states - Technology and Diversity; Resources for Development - we are exemplifying the diverse makeup of the San Francisco Bay Area. The Bay Area is made up of three major cities: San Jose , Oakland , and off course San Francisco . This region has made a great impact on the world history in many ways. This great city capitalized on the diverse make up of the area and its people to propel them to great heights. It doesn't matter where one comes from, their gender, religion, accent, or background. What matters is what one brings to the table. They realized that everyone counts and what they have to contribute makes everyone else better. This is the kind of spirit we need to exemplify as Ugandans in order to maximize our potential for greatness. It is time we use our differences to make us both united and strong rather than being divided and weak. As they say, "united we stand; divided we fall". It is time we take advantage of all the talents our people have to rewrite our history for greatness.
Also, this is the birthplace of technological revolution that has spawned such world-renown companies like Apple, Google, Intel, Genentech, Hewlett Packard, Yahoo, just to name a few; the home of academic heavyweights Stanford University and UC Berkeley that mint Noble roulettes year after year;…
San Francisco has it all!
But hurry up, register, secure your room - both are going a supersonic speed. We want you to be part of the celebration.
So my friends, you can't afford to miss this convention. Come and experience the great atmosphere in San Francisco at the same time have a lot of fun while uniting with your “OBs and OGs”. It is an opportunity to get away from the daily huddles.
Sincerely,
Ssalongo Fredrick G. Kaddu
Chairman UNAA San Francisco 2007
